Reflecting on the monumental journey of our Care for Tomorrow event at Forge of Empires, we celebrate the achievements and lasting impact of this initiative. This grand mission brought our players together to tackle global environmental challenges. But the excitement doesn’t end there. Our dedication to making a sustainable impact has earned us a nomination for the Players Choice Award at the Playing for the Planet Alliance Green Game Jam.
From July 22nd to August 12th, players were invited to participate in our Care for Tomorrow event 2024. Teaming up with our partner Dots.eco, our players unlocked powerful in-Game buildings and uncovered secrets to drive environmental change. The central theme? Our newly introduced World Challenge, where players across our 234 game worlds across 24 language versions collectively aimed to plant over 200,000 trees.
Why It Matters
Engagement in the World Challenge was more than just in-game fun — it represented a tangible way for our community to contribute to real-world environmental restoration. By unlocking event milestones, our players earned individual and global rewards, fostering a sense of collaborative achievement. The World Challenge not only encouraged camaraderie but also highlighted the impact gaming communities can have on environmental conservation.
Event Results and Next Steps
Your commitment resulted in the planting of 217,493 trees via Dots.eco’s partners, including Eden, Friends of Usambara, and Trees for the Future. Dots.eco notifies the environmental partners responsible for planting the trees and sends them the funds to do so. These efforts are geared towards long-term restoration and sustainable practices, empowering local communities and ensuring lasting environmental benefits.
Going forward, Dots.eco will monitor the progress using remote sensing imagery, providing quarterly updates to ensure the initiatives stay on track. Participants can track their contributions through status updates or via their certificate ID on the dedicated website. We encourage everyone to stay involved and continue this impactful journey.

We’re thrilled to announce that our Care for Tomorrow event has earned a nomination for the Players Choice Award at the Playing for the Planet Alliance Green Game Jam.
