We’re excited to delve into a significant development within the Grepolis universe: the recent Heroes Rebalancing! This article sheds light on how community feedback has influenced game design in a game that’s been captivating players for over 15 years.
Several Feedback Rounds
Back in 2024, we initiated numerous discussions with our community to understand and highlight key areas for improvement in the Heroes meta. Players across all markets shared their insights, which were then analyzed by Community Managers and the Game Team. The result? Revamped Heroes that add strategic depth without disrupting the beloved meta.
Community-Focused Adjustments
A strong consensus emerged to buff eighteen of our Heroes! This isn’t simply about adjusting stats—it’s about expanding strategic possibilities. With upgraded abilities for Heroes like Andromeda and Perseus, the aim was to increase excitement while honoring longstanding favorites. However, not all changes were clear-cut. Heracles stirred passionate debates even after the release, with varying opinions in several markets:
– “No Heracles? The whole Hero Change thing was about him.”
– “Heracles doesn’t need a change.”
– “Without consensus, it’s best to leave Heracles as is.”
With such varied opinions, we decided to keep Heracles unchanged—at least for now.
